Please note my comment above...
There was no edit made... just a gap between FRAPs shots. One day, I'll have to spring for the full version I suppose.
Also, this is why I ASKED the folks here without directly accusing. I just want to be able to tell the difference between "being good" and "being a cheat". No offense in that is there? |

I'm less than surprised that someone can have that high of a head shot percentage. I always go for the head if I can, ALWAYS. I've typically landed more head shots than body shots in UT'04 as a result but I'm less accurate in UT3.

Plus sniper you can't just come into this game and be good, do you have any other names that you have used? I have never seen you, and your aim is flawless,(by flawless i mean he would hit me 3 times in a row for a kill, one shot hit me as i fell off the bridge, one when i hit the ground, and one as i was dodging away. very suspicous). what other game types have you played before you came into the vctf community?
And also, may a mod check his ip and see if it is someone we have already accused of hacking....See if it's close to anyone at all, he reminds me of somone by the way he talks.

DarkFury do you have XFire? If so, have you tried their beta video? Try leaving Fraps off and doing XFire Video (XFire video intentionally doesn't work when Fraps is running to avoid running two recordings at once). XFire's video is just like Fraps but it has no limits to how long you record other than your HD space.
As for reencoding, I use VirtualDub 1.7.8 ( http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ ) and installed the XVid Codec ( http://www.digital-digest.com/software/download.php?sid=1052&ssid=0&did=1 )
Instructions:
Open VirtualDub then go to File and open the avi.
In the top menu under Video, make sure Full Processing Mode is selected.
Then in that same menu, select Compression...
In the list, select Xvid MPEG-4 Codec
Hit the configure button
I set the target quantizer to 10.00. You can set this higher or lower as you wish. The higher, the smaller the file, lower makes for better quality.
After that, hit OK, and OK.
Now you should be back on the main screen of VirtualDub
Next you want to go to Audio on the top menu and for that also make sure Full Processing Mode is selected.
Then in that same menu, select Compression...
I select MPEG Layer-3 in the left menu then select the top option in the right menu for best sound quality but being MP3 compressed, its a lot smaller than it would have been.
Once you've done that, hit OK and go to File -> Save as AVI
Wait for it to process and you're done.

| in the first video I see no evidence of aimbot whatsoever. I would need more samples and higher quality to determine if triggerbot might be being used, or toggled, which would be the preferred choice of cheating for someone using sniper. |

Also it gets pretty dam obvious that he has a bot when I get in and out of manta near the water (Redeemer area) very quickly and all his shots landed on me. The first shot landed on me in my manta coming for redeemer (Hit manta which had very low health, was down to approx 25), the second I was outside picking up redeemer for a second or two, the third one I was back in manta, it had touched a bit of water so it had 11 HP and I was moving away and he shot me and I died. Keep in mind this action happened under ten seconds.

No Youtube, host them on yousendit, mediafire or other. Youtube is terrible in quality.
I am not sure anyone called for the snap as him cheating, at least not that I read. I saw and immediately looked at the clock, its the first tell for some bs.
But Fury, WHY did you do that and not explain when you posted that? Seems pretty shady thing to do.

Allright heres a video. Sure, it's not proof enough, but it's the best I can do at the time since I cannot re-encode and compress the video. It's 1GB in size, be warned, for about a minute and a half.
Still, there are some segments where SniperElite behaves quite strangely like if he knew where the others were (radar), and if you check the sniping sequence (I talk about it in the video) you can see him slightly snapping to the targets, just like theHotCake describes (Also in the video). If this isn't enough at least it makes it so that this case warrants further research.

Also, as a simple warning (I will not make a new thread about it): ban a player named Korlar (I think that's the name) from your servers. He killed me once, I called aimbot (Because all his shots landed on me, and he was flying across the map since I shot him with rockets), and he left immediately after I called him. I don't have a record for that obviously but I don't think he will come back to UMG anyways. Just make sure that if he does record him  |

As a sniper, I see nothing wrong with this video, he almost does what I do, it's really easy to kill pubs, they hardly move/dodge.
And I don't see any part where he uses radar, at all. If there is, could you name the time in the vid? |

I said I could not re-encode it. This is directly from Xfire capture. I know it sucks but I have no choice. Else people would be asking if I had those videos (And I do, trust me. Just gotta find a way to compress them)
About the radar, it is not in this video, but in another one, that is 2GB big (which I cannot compress) and therefore impossible to upload anywhere (Filefront is 1GB max). It is a very odd switch, he was shooting a sniper on the bridge on suspense, and then switched immediately to someone behind him who had flack cannon, shot him and killed him, and went back to sniper on bridge. Can't remember off hand if he killed the sniper. |

I only combined the two clips into one... I didn't know that would cause confusion, hence I have broken the two up.
It wasn't shady at all... sorry that you feel that it was. Like I said, it would be nice if I had the full version of FRAPS then you would have seen it the way I saw it when I was watching.
I agree, the captures need to get better in order to prove anything... Also, I did not directly accuse.... go re-read my first post. I asked all of YOU if this was a cheat or not? I have a hard time telling based on past discussions on this forum.
Also during the time it was happening, a few other folks were complaining about it as well, hence me trying to capture some of the action in question.
I personally do not cheat, and these vids were not modded to make the situation look "shady"... I just combined them for the ease of posting them up. I really wish I could just post up the raw uncut video, however that would take WAY too much file space (and yes, i still do have the raw AVI files.) |
