I was just on the UT3 VCTF server and there was a player going by FUKHEAD. This person was being a racist piece of shit calling everyone niggers and nigger lovers. Some jackass player going by titlis (to that effect anyway) warned him a bunch of times. I kept saying ban him. titlis said he doesn't ban he just warns. There were some other comments thrown around and i said he was an idiot NOT to ban that player if he had the power, which obviously he didn't. I guess I was wrong there. The next thing I know titlis is in spec mode saying, "let me make this easy." The next thing that happens is I GOT REMOVED! ***?!?! I wasn't the one being an unrelenting racist! The only thing I did was say titlis was an idiot for NOT banning FUKHEAD! Maybe I was being an ***, but what i did didn't warrant being banned!

I WANT AN EXPLANATION AS TO THE REASON FOR MY BEING BANNED AND NOT FUKHEAD! THIS IS RIDICULOUS! WELL, UNLESS BUDDIES OF ADMINS GET TO DO AS THEY PLEASE AND OTHERS HAVE TO ADHERE TO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. PLUS, THE FACT THAT TITLIS SAID HE DIDN'T BAN AND THEN BANNED ME.

Just a guess, but maybe the admins name was Tillis? I'm sure all of us are tit-less.

It doesn't matter what his alias is/was. The point is that he seemed to me to be showing FAVORITISM toward FUKHEAD. I have not ben on ANY server that allowed players to use racial slurs and ESPECIALLY THAT one. Of course, with the exception of the offender being a buddy of the admin on the server.

Most servers, if an admin is present, the player gets IMMEDIATELY banned.

Hell, I got banned from a server once because I CALLED MYSELF A NIGGA! Go figure. I was referring to ME not anyone else and it rated an immediate ban without a word said.

Now here you have a guy that was using NIGGER (the pinnacle of racial insults) multiple times during more than one game and just getting warned over and over. One time he was warned and he said something to the effect that people were acting like NIGGER lovers immediately after the warning.

Are you people going to tell me that wasn't deserving of a ban, but me saying that"TILLIS" was an idiot if he didn't ban him WAS? Give me a freaking break!

I was only seeing if that name rang a bell, cuz I was unaware that Tillis frequented the UT3 server. In my experience the admins here do their best to enforce the rules of engagement viewed here:

The situation as you described it sounds way out of line, so I suspect we'll hear from whatever admin it was shortly on what their reasoning was.

I really don't like Rule 2: Do not swear at an Admin. It gives admins justification for abuse, and it's especially moot when you take in to consideration Rule 6: Do not make racial comments, or single out a player and abuse him/her. If someone is making it a point to constantly harass a player, they're breaking the rules, regardless of whether its an admin (by Rule 6). Making an explicit rule against talking back to admins is ripe for abuse.

Not too long ago, while playing Avalanche, I saw Tillis log in as admin and yell at someone to get off one of the towers at the base. I have no idea what this person was doing, but perhaps this was justified. In this case, nothing more happened, but let's say for the sake of argument that the person shot back 'shut up tillis', though perhaps using slightly harsher language. And maybe they didn't even notice that Tillis had logged in as an admin and maybe they have no idea who the mods are. If they had shot back this comment, Tillis could kick the player on the grounds of talking back to an admin, when this player really hasn't harassed Tillis in any way. In fact, Tillis, in this scenario, instigates the dialogue.

This really isn't an issue so long as the admins don't have paper-thin skin and can take a little name-calling, but as intense as matches can get, it only takes one comment to really annoy someone. The admins should have to put up with this just as we normal players have to. No matter how noble they think we should treat them, the admins shouldn't be beyond reproach.

Having said that, I haven't really seen any admin abuse thus far, but most of the time we're all well-behaved.

Well, I think that players abusing one another gets way out of hand all the time. If there is an admin on the server, they never identify themselves. Not that I have noticed anyway. Besides, how was anyone that didn't know tillis well know he is an admin? He didn't say he was an admin, just that he ONLY GIVES WARNINGS. That could be anyone. Hell, my son isn't an admin ANYWHERE and he warns and threatens banning all the time! I take that with a grain of salt most of the time.

The thing here is that no matter what, I did absolutely nothing that warranted me being booted and not FUKHEAD. I know good and well no matter who the admin was, if it had been me using nigger almost constantly..... scratch that..... if I had used it ONCE I bet my last dollar I wouldn't have been even warned! I would have been banned instantly.

Just because I said he was an idiot if he didn't ban FUCKHEAD and I may have said to just shut up if he wasn't going to ban him for that use of language .... anyway that didn't warrant MY bring treated like that.

FUKHEAD was acting like a total racist! He even commented that tillis was acting like a white person because he wouldn't ban him. His comment was something like, "See, he's acting like a white person."

If that sort of thing is against the rules, why was he warned MULTIPLE times in the first place? At best one warning should have been more than enough.

But, I still want to hear the explanation for booting and banning me instead of FUKHEAD.

If you were on the vCTF 24 man server then I don't even see you on the ban list there. Whoever did the ban either removed it or someone else came along and removed it. Some explaination would help reduce the confusion in all of this.. something that needs some serious work.

Well, this isn't the first time an admin on that server has abused their privileges. I was playing on that server a while back and we were on the Kargo map. I was in the tank and slaughtering everyone. Now, the tank is fair game. People started whining that they couldn't get past me, more or less. The next thing I knew I was looking at a screen that said, "You have been forceably removed from the game."

Well, as far as what happened today, I wasn't able to get back in for a while. It kept saying, "Connection closed."

Anyway, facts are facts. If there is a chat log just pull it and see what was going on for yourselves.
