Striker
UMG ONS 1
Perhaps Icky? (no hard feelings
I am sure you know my IP
I was aliasing (for the first time, just to see if I will stop being "crashed") as Enough. After I got "crashed" a few times, I joined, the server assigned me the name Player (apparently Enough was still in) and said: "OK, I get it, I won't play tonight," after which I was perm banned. Well, I hope I am back in action, crashes or no crashes. Thanks. |

Just for general info, the server does not assign names. It has to be resetting ur ini when u crash somehow. Anyway, it's ez to get a name with the setname cmd in console when that happens. I usually warn "Player" peeps about getting a name and then kick if no response or negative response as it gets too tuff to admin with multiple "Player"s.
In ur case striker, I'm not sure if I kicked u as a "Player" or not as it was a crazy nite with many "Players" showing up and multiple server crashes.
As u know, I certainly wouldn't kick the "striker" I know on purpose, if I in fact did. In any case, sorry for the inconvenience of what did come down that nite, whom ever was the "kicker". Hang in there and don't abandone us, as I would miss ur pancakes, and general great skills. _________________ icKy° |

What happens when your client crashes is the game does not know you left yet and sets your alias as "Player" because your other alias is still in use.
I've seen 3 connections as "Player" at the same time too. The problem is this uses slots on the server. |

Those "player" people should disappear after a few minutes when the server realizes they aren't responding. |

K... thx 4 the info code, I stand corrected if the host server is in fact the cause in this case of "player" appearing in the server. As u well know, some peeps also don't set a name in their settings menu and are "Player" by default. But what would happen if a "Player" appears ( for whatever reason) and were to use the setname cmd in console trying to comply, in good faith, with an admin request for the reasons I posted above. _________________ icKy° |
