Hello, im trying to get more people to request more maps on the tdm/dm servers..They are full all the time and its a great place to play.But alot of people between matches talk about new custom maps and removal of sum of the ones thats there.I would also like to see a few more new maps.Maybe a new map every 2 weeks just change it up.Plus more custom skins people lets live'n up things alittle.UT3 is fast,fun,just need alittle more mods and more maps big ones...

We all want custom maps. However, there are problems with custom content. First, often times about 50% of the people get disconnected between maps. Second, sometimes people will get a "A_Vehicle_Manta package not found" where Manta can be anything. This is a major problem that many people don't have the desire or the ability to work around (installing custom content manually and clearing your cache is the solution).

Patch 1.3 is supposed to address that issue. Once we get that patch and these problems are resolved it is the plan to add custom maps to the server. Make your requests here: http://www.umgleague.com/forum/ut3-custom-maps-t1517.html

As far as removing Biohazard (and Rising Sun too I hope), I'm sure that will happen once there are customs to replace it.

For the DM and TDM servers: I don't care so much about custom maps, but if you're not going to remove some maps then can you at least change the order in which they are listed so that Biohazard doesn't keep winning ties because of its alphabetic advantage?
You could also put the lesser played but still quality maps on top making for a more varied rotation.

Good idea indeed. Many a time I've anguished over having to play Bio or Deck yet again because it finished tied with a decent or at least not overplayed map.

IMO: Biohazard at the bottom of the list, with Deck (a fine map, just drastically overplayed) not far away. Rising Sun can hang down in that neighborhood as well, and maybe shove Gateway in with them also, at least for TDM. Deimos should be impaled on a spit and sent to hell. Others can go in any order above those.

It does indeed run better, but only because it isn't truly UMG

On the standard UMG server earlier today, the initial belt spawn was 6 seconds late. I was NOT lagging, I had 'stat net' open and was getting shot at/returning fire... I walked back and forth on Deck and finally it spawned at 13:59 after I had only 12hp left.

I just stood there for ahwile thinking about how bad your server has to be for belt to spawn 6 seconds behind schedule.

FYI, The rest of the game was filled with the regular lag on shots, requiring the leading of shots on 30 ping - It's sorta sad I'm almost accustomed to the UMG server's crappiness.

EVERYONE I beg of you play the other server!

Doesn't that make you a bit of a hypocrite? Telling other people not to play on the server you frequent?

fact is umg league is doing the ut3 community a disservice considering they run the most popular servers yet they perform the worst. i take it the machines they run on are overloaded and don't have enough bandwidth to run even the default low tick rate of 30. this is probably setup intentionally so they make the most money off their overpriced rentals.

Bob upgraded when UT3 came out. He runs multiple game types for ut2k4, ut3, cod 4, and even runs special league events. He does the community a disservice by making all this available for free?

How do you have the nerve to even constantly complain about something that is provided free to you, out of someone elses pocket, on a forum that is ALSO paid for out of that same person's pocket?

Yes, a small handful of you complain repeatedly about lag, etc. Yet, with all the game types I admin for UMG over 2k4 and ut3, being at the other end of the country (as you say you are in the same region as servers), how do I not have any problems with lag? How is it that the UMG servers are SO popular? You want to blame Bob for that too? He forces the hundreds if not thousands of players that come to his game servers, all while there are plenty of other servers out there?

Why don't you host your own forums on your own server and complain about UMG, at least it will be a little less shameful.
