I still don't believe that happened because any modern processor would stop before it overheated that badly. Next, you're gonna tell me with a processor that hot that you're just going to take the cooler off with your bare hands? And he takes this off without actually unplugging the fan? Ya he yanks it but how lightly he yanks it wouldn't pull any securely plugged in plug out. Also you're actually booting an overclocked processor with the cooler just sitting on top and not actually installed and pushing down on the processor with full contact? And lastly, a hole blown through a wooden table yet the socket itself didn't really sustain any damage? An explosion powerful enough to blow a hole through a wooden table would easily take half the motherboard with it. _________________ UMG UT3 Warfare and vCTF Admin

| I've fried a CPU before, on a Mac G4. It was very unspectacular; no explosion or fire or smoke. I just got the black screen of death, and the machine shut down. It was caused by the fans being clogged up with cat hair. |
