It appears that your UT3 server is the only one that gets regular traffic for TDM. Please consider these requests.

1. Cut down the number of players. 16 is simply too many people for many of the maps. In UT99 TDM was 4v4 and in UT2004 TDM went to 5v5 on pubs. I think 10 would be perfect, 12 max.

2. As noted by other people on this forum, this server needs custom TDM maps. Many of the stock maps are not really good and rarely get played. Grendelkeep and Campgrounds are two classic TDM maps that have been remade. Also consider Liandri.

Hi, I frequent that server a ton, and I think the player limit is just right. FWIW

The server has custom maps now and I think it's actually killed it a bit. A lot noobs just see that it's gotta download a map and disco. Oh well I still enjoy the oldschool/custom maps.

Well many of the maps are too small and it becomes too much of a spamfest. Friendlyfire is off and with that many peeps it really noobifies the server. There are some maps you can go around with just your hammer and get a lot of kills because there are so many people in a tight area such as Biohazard.

The TDM servers on UT99 and 2k4 had friendly fire on so you couldn't just spam away.


I appreciate the additional maps though. Those were very much needed.

I guess the server settings are ok but I wish there were other servers that are frequented as often that have settings that are more conducive to competitive play.

yeah i agree smaller maps like bio are hell on that server when its full. yeah its pretty much a spam fest all most maps though. but its a 'controlled' spam fest lol.
