Hi all,
I'm trying to put together a UMG DM tournament. In the interest of fairness I need a UT2k4 DM map that we can use. Anyone have a good one that hasn't been played, or is anyone willing to create one?

| soup... no just no ok? rankin has been fuking engeneered, not just randomly drawn.. all the dodges all the jumps, all the special combos, all the powerup locations.. it's all been thought you.. not just some random person drawing a friggin factory with 3 floors and thinking it looks cool... you gotta understand that.. |

The problem is that peeps need the full version to play custom maps.

Billy I agree that Rankin is a great map. The problem is that it gives the DM'ers an advantage because they've been playing it since 2004 and know how it plays. Even look at your post; your comments betray your knowledge of Rankin. This would give you a jump-start on some of the best ONS players. Not fair! What if we put the the DM'ers into Torlan? That would give the regular ONS guys an advantage.
A fresh, new, unplayed map is the best way to level the playing field. Furthermore, I believe that the mapmakers in this forum can create something better than Rankin. Their custom map next to Rankin will be like Torlan next to Prime.

What decent ONS player has never played on Rankin before ? Rankin is probably gonna be your best bet over all. Anyone can play this with demo, and everyone has at least tried it once. Rankin is actually a very good DM map, and as billy said before, it is engineered and not just randomly drawn out.
