This is a public server, not your private personal playground. Perhaps you weren't killing people from up there, and kudos to you for that, but you were wasting a valuable team resource--the raptor--just for your own personal amusement at the expense of others, and this is considered a form a team sabotage in my book.


Edit: To be clear, I'm referring to the time I caught you up there with Thomas and I specifically warned you to stop doing it, a warning which you acknowledged. That should have been the end of it. But, like Thomas, you seem to think warnings don't apply to you, and later when Ethyn caught you exploiting the map again, well, you know the rest.... Wink

Yes meaby i was wasting raptor, but not for long. I was up there about 3 min. and then i was fighting again.Ok all i can say is 'sorry' and ask if my ban is permanent.

About your ban, I didn't place it--Ethyn did--so I suggest you follow thomas' lead and create a separate Ban Appeal thread.

Well it's true, lol. If Epic spent even half the time on UT3 as they did Gears of War 1 and 2 (their cash cows) then maybe UT3 wouldn't be such a shitty game.

It's been a long time since I've seen a game with many glitches and exploits that end up NOT being fixed over such a long period of time. It's like they don't care and their patch releases padded with minor fixes and shit nobody cares about just show it. How many patches are we in now? Because there are various glitches, exploits and terrain issues that still remain, but they seemed more focused on 64 player caps and taunting bots. I don't think this game has enough players to support a 64 player server.. at least I've never seen one.

I saw 64 player server [UMG WARFARE TEST SERVER] and it was the best server ever. I never saw it empty. The only problem is u removed it Sad Probably money, I know Smile

Well I will answer for darkchunk since he is my 10 year old son, and does not go on the forums. His glitching that was caught in the pic is a one time event that I actually caught him doing and told him not too. Everyone keeps hitting me up asking if I was banned for glitching , and the answer to that is NO. I don't cheat in anyway. And as far as I know, I have not been banned. I think its pretty funny how serious umg is taking the glitching when there are several people out there that are obvious hacks, and yet nothing is done about it. You can spec all you want on some, but the fact is that the hacks out there are made to look normal and not make 100 percent kills. When you have a lot of good players out there and at least 4 of them are scoring around 50 plus and then there is that one person out there with a sniper gun scoring over 100 in every single game, then something is wrong.

Anyone in particular you'd like to point out? I'll gladly come spectate any player you tell me is cheating (except for ones I've already specced until I'm blue in the face).

First you berate us for not banning cheaters, then in the very next sentence you state that cheaters can't be detected with the hacks out nowadays. Confused So what do you propose we do? Just blindly ban everyone who scores over 100?

Fact of the matter is that we do ban cheaters, but it's easy for you to sit there and play armchair quarterback when you don't have to take any of the responsibility or the heat that comes with banning someone off a server. Wink

Instead of throwing stones, how about doing something about it and actually collect evidence and submit it to us?

Although I love to see that glitchers are now finally being banned, I don't know why don't you guys take the Containment glitch seriously. When I used to frequent the VCTF server, there was tons of people who glitched vehicles on top of flag, sometimes up to 4 vehicles up there. At one point in time, even ADMINS for the love of god glitched them up there.

For that to be a glitch you would have to conclude that Epic somehow managed to make a barrier that stops all vehicles except somehow the tank manages to be able to just drive over it. Not that I put that past Epic, but I think that particular bug would probably be kind of difficult, seeing as you would probably have to program in an exception for the tank. Seems deliberate. Even if it weren't, you would surely think that Epic would fix a bug like this because of it's magnitude. It's game altering! Almost on the same level as dropping the shaped charge on the unlinked core bug. They fixed that bug.

Now, forget the debatable nature of the tank driving right through the barrier. Assume it is a bug. The use of it is prevalent. Enforcing that would be nigh impossible, and would take a huge amount of time and effort for it to even be pseudo effective. If we tried to stop people from doing that on Containment, now we have to stop people from getting the tank up in the prime node on Downtown. Well, ok, what if they didn't drive through the barricade? What if they ramped up a Scorpion? Are we really to tell people they can't climb over another vehicle, at least in this one spot!

There are too many easy ways to get over the barricade, for more than just the tank. If Epic had truly intended it to stop vehicles, they have failed miserably in it's design. At this point players have to accept it as part of the game.

well blew has a point i have seen hackers/radars but with no evidence cant show you them. id hate to be a nag but, I completely stopped glitching i know its hard for you to believe me giving all the evidence about me. if you tune in any time on {dfb} maximum carnage i don't glitch or do anything like that any more i have leaned my lesson. you may not agree but I am just telling you and just please believe me I only like umg. Surprised (surprising I have gotten my kills up yay for me!)
